The GA team supports parity between physical and behavioral health treatments, as well as mental health and substance use treatments.
All people have a right to access medical care, and coverage for care should be equal without condition. To make equitable healthcare a reality, the GA team engages in ongoing advocacy to enhance the reporting measures, accountability, and transparency of existing Federal and state parity laws. Ultimately, the GA team’s goal is to ensure that insurance restrictions for behavioral health treatment are no more stringent than that for physical health treatment in New Jersey.
